Microsoft Fresh Paint: The Best Windows 8 App Review
Howdy App Champs!
So alongside the foreseen re-elections of Barack Obama the other day, it’s almost hard not to get sucked into the loop of old hobbies and compulsive hoarding.
Holding on to what we are used to is ridiculously cozy.
Piling up dozens of useless Icons on our Desktop, not replacing the laptop’s broken speakers and sticking to the Anti-Virus that has expired last year – does that ring a bell?
After all, it’s the American way.
But what makes a company really great, and we mean REALLY memorable, is their ability to catch the perfect moment and use it in their favor.
Microsoft has probably noticed where things are going, because the release of Windows 8 was almost in flawless timing; just when things got boring.
We’re proud to say that the entire App Champ staff has switched to Windows 8, only to find one of the most surprising App of all.
So pull out your paintbrushes, because the old Microsoft Paint is gone, and Fresh Paint is here!
The Fresh Paint App comes freely with your new Windows 8 copy.
The meaning of the new App divides into two: number one, you no longer need the old Paint to produce your screenshots – simply click the Start+PrintScreen buttons at once, and your screenshot will appear straight in the Pictures folder.
Number two, Microsoft has revolutionized what was considered to be the most “simple” Windows feature, and turned it into an amazing dynamic canvas.
To find it, simply click on the Start button and slide left or right – depends on your language – until you find the yellow logo.
Don’t worry if you don’t own a touch screen; it will work fine either way.
Fresh Paint includes an amazing combination of features that could keep your toddler busy in the afternoons, as well as complex artistic widgets that wouldn’t shame the serious artists among you.
Using the App, you will feel just as if you were drawing on real canvas. The user experience of Fresh Paint is just remarkable – we can’t think of a better way to waste our precious time around Windows 8!
The App offers an infinite amount of high quality colors, shades, brushes and nifty patterns.
Microsoft also didn’t skip the obvious options of redoing, undoing, saving and sharing the new born images.
If the ‘Draw Something’ panic from last year (which ended up in complete disaster for Zynga) means anything, who knows if there will be stopping the Fresh Painters. One could use his talent to produce some really astonishing images using the App.
It’s been a long time since the App Champ staff was this excited about a new App, but god darn it – Fresh Paint is the most addictive Windows feature, ever.
