Help! My iPhone Won’t Ring!
Q: My iPhone 4 just won’t ring, no matter how hard I tried to reset its settings. Help me!
A: Who needs the iPhone to ring, anyway?
First, check the obvious culprits.
Assuming you have already made sure your phone is not on silent or mute by checking the side sound switch, the most likely problem is a glitch that commonly occurs after listening to headphones or plugging in an AUX cord.

Plug in headphones again and disconnect them again to see if this helps.
Also, check your sound settings. Go to Settings > Sounds > Ringers and Alerts, and make sure your volume is turned all the way up.
If this doesn’t work, try a soft reset. Press the home button and power button at the same time and hold down until the Apple appears.
Still not working? Restore your iPhone. Make sure it is backed up before performing the restore.
If you hear anything rattling inside your iPhone, it could be a problem with the hardware. If this is the case, take it to an Apple expert immediately.
