“I wanted to design something cool for my mobile website, so I need to know which font is used on iDevices?”

That crisp, clean font that is used on all iPhones and iPads is called Helvetica. The iPhone 4 and later generations use a slightly updated system font, Helvetica Neue. The original font was created by Switzerland’s’ Max Miedinger in 1957.

Fun Fact: Helvetica is one of the most popular sans-serif fonts and is used worldwide in a variety of languages, including Latin, Cyrillic, Hebrew, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Urdu, Khmer and Vietnamese.
